Report: Obesity Rates Exceed 25 Percent in 31 States

Thirty-one states now have obesity rates exceeding 25 percent - compared with 28 states last year, according to a recent report from Trust for America's Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
The sixth annual edition of the report, "F as in Fat: How Obesity Policies are Failing in America," found that obesity rates rose in 23 states over the past year, while rates did not decline in any state. Adults with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or more are considered obese, the report said.
